About Chef's Turn
In 2019, a spark of culinary inspiration took hold in Charlotte as she planned a silly, creative game for a friend's birthday campout weekend. The first gameplay went off without a hitch, but with so much room for potential. Together with Seanna, they discussed gameplay and rules on numerous walks to and from the local coffee shop. Informal test plays happened throughout the years to follow…cards were crossed out, dramatically ripped up, redesigned, reimagined, and ultimately, still in Seanna's semi-legible Canadian handwriting. That's where Taya comes in! She saw the vision and it kicked her marketing mindset into action. And as of 2025, we're on an adventure to see how far we can take this. Welcome to the journey!
Charlotte Kreitlow — Operations Director and Founding Fire Starter

Charlotte is responsible for creating this chaotic game and navigating the operational logistics. It has been so inspiring to see how this game affects players! She's loving the challenge of starting a small business, crossing the t's and dotting the i's. A CPA by day, she's been moonlighting as a card game designer to get Chef's Turn Card Game onto a table near you. When she's not hard at work, you'll find her in their food forest with her husband and two kids or curating some kind of unique and interesting experience for people to enjoy.
Taya Ross-Altman — Creative Director & Chief Ingredient Artist

Taya is the one responsible for hand-drawing every single onion, leek, and leg of lamb you see in Chef's Turn. As the Creative Director, she spends her days translating "chaotic kitchen energy" into actual game assets and making sure the brand looks as sharp as a chef's knife. She is the official bridge between the big creative ideas and actually getting the deck printed. In the rare moments when she isn't elbow-deep in Procreate layers or wrangling the startup's latest project, Taya can be found wandering the mossy forests of the Pacific Northwest or hanging out with her husband and their pets. She is a firm believer that most problems can be solved by a bong rip and a Val Kilmer movie marathon.
Seanna Quressette — Fire Stoker
From the brainstorming walks in 2019 to the random questions along the way, Seanna has been instrumental in fanning the flames of Charlotte's spark.
